The Bulls' entire starting lineup could be murdered, and Thibs would coach the scrubs to the playoffs.

As shitty as the east is this year, they could sleepwalk their way to a 6 seed.

I'd prefer to see them tank, but they would probably have to try harder to lose games than win them in the eastern conference.

At least this doesn't doom his season. This team is good enough if they can get him back with 10 games to spare to get him going.

My interest in the NBA is completely gone.  Basketball in general is pretty much dead to me.

Makes no sense to deem him out for the season. Now he's practically going to have taken 29 months off from game play.

So he's out for like 2 seasons straight. Is it safe to say that this guy might never play again?

He's like 25 years old.
and? hes already proven mentally soft. now BOTH knees are shot and hes a player who relies on his lower body for explosiveness. hes never going to be able to be the same player he once was for a full season.

penny syndrome.

Still far from actually done.

We can't know if these were two freak accidents or if his body is in fact incapable of handling his style of play.

What's for sure is that he's gonna be a mental wreck once he returns.

But to say he might never play again doesn't make any sense.

Proven mentally soft based on what?  Dumbasses in the media and on message boards thinking he should return based on what they believe?  A meniscus injury isn't the same as an ACL injury, it's not going to have much effect, if any, on his athletic ability and explosiveness once it heals.  Hell, the ACL injury didn't have any effect on his athleticism either.  He was just as, if not more explosive as he's ever been this season.

Two freak injuries, which have no real connection to one another, aren't going to lead me to jumping to rash conclusions like the rest of you.  He very well could end up fading into irrelevancy, but I'm not going to assume that based on a fucking meniscal tear.

him being mentally weak isnt even about his injuries. he doesnt have the fire in his voice that stronger players do. his skillset screams supertsra but he personality doesnt. the stuff hes said about never wanting to pitch ideas to players to join up with him was a red flag to me. he just wants to play basketball which is fine and dandy, but when youre the face of the franchise you have to step up in other areas and he doesnt seem to want to. and the injuries and the way he rehabs doesnt help.

his right knee was weaker because he was putting too much effort on strengthening his left. thats not his fault, its his trainers fault, but he couldve seen something like this coming.

we can all over-react right now saying hes prone and sure he can come back 100% and never get injured again, but, his game will never change and if he doubts himself its a wrap.

I think he'll definitely play again, but I don't think he'll ever have another MVP caliber type of season and I don't think he'll ever be an elite player again.

He won an MVP, and led the Bulls to the #1 overall seed in the NBA in back-to-back years with the "soft" mentality/demeanor that you're referring to.  I don't think him being soft-spoken has anything to do with his play on the court.

and he did those things before his injuries.

him being soft-spoken doesnt have to do with his play on the court but its part of his personality and that has everything to do with anything related to trying to improve himself and his team in the future.

i say greg monroe doesnt have the ability to ever take over games because hes too soft-spoken and it shows on the court, people agree(not saying you), i say it about rose, and, im wrong.

That doesn't sound like Rose, at all.

Just because he has a laid back personality doesn't mean he has no ambition or drive to get better and improve his team.
