your god damn red sox destroyed the market for everyone with relievers in the off-season, now with starting pitchers at the deadline.

When Brantley first hurt his shoulder, it really didn't look that bad.  I'm surprised he's been out this long, but there is a possibility that he won't be back anytime soon.

Why do you want to trade away Johnathan "best catcher in the league by far" Lucroy so badly?

1. He's having a great year and his value is sky high
2. Brewers won't be good for another 2-3 years and can get great prospects for him right now
3. He's a FA at the end of next year and probably wouldn't re-sign
4. He's over 30 years old and will be declining by the time the Brewers are good.

Smith/Jeffress/Lucroy should all be gone by the deadline. Brewers farm system is already very good and should only be stronger after the 1st.

Jon Morosi seemed to think Longoria won't be going to LA but if the Jays cant get an extension done with Donaldson in the offseason the Dodgers will be going HARD after him

I think they're going to shut him down for the year at this point. This is at least his third or fourth set back during his rehab process this year that we know about, including when they rush him back for those 11 games earlier this year.

Sounds a lot like Devon Travis last year. Seemed like for a while he was on the brink of coming back and it kept getting delayed until they just stopped giving updates.

Indians like Lucroy and the Brewers relievers

Seems like every contending team is in on smith/jeffress

Love the Cubs addition of Montgomery, not only is he a great pickup now, but he is under team control for 5.5 years. Fills a hole in the team for the long term, classic Theo move

Agreed. Vogelbacher was a great prospect, but ultimately blocked and thus expendable. Montgomery is far from a sure thing, but was having a nice season overall in Seattle.
