But you also probably should divide the 2 eras again. Younger kids and stuff don't know squat about Bird, so they automatically think Dirk is the best and first perimeter PF.

Eh..still doesn't do the same thing as seeing them live week in and week out. And growing up watching them is a factor.

Yeah. I really don't give credit or see why people say Dirk was the first of his breed. Really Bird was the first of that breed big man breed who was agile and hit the threes and that was why he was so good. No one knew what hit em with him. Dirk is just the closet thing to Bird probably. I mean Dirk and Bird are the only players in the history of the NBA to shoot 50% FG, 40% 3P FG, 90% FT in a season. So that's why they get compared more. But Bird's obviously better because he won titles and was probably more of a better shooter then Dirk.

Dirk should be recognized first for probably being the best European player ever
Bird wasnt agile at all, he had NO athletic abilities what so ever. But he was still a great player.

And he played SF not PF

5. Not sure, it's hard to judge players that played in eras before your time..

The others were around before I was born. I cannot pick them.

Yea bird wasn't a great athlete, but he did all the small things and it doesnt hurt to be a great shooter.

Sheed re-invented it first if anything..
This is true, Sheed was the first to have an inside/outside game for a power forward. Dirk is primarily a outside oriented player. And if he wasnt 7ft tall he'd probably be a SF in the league.

Dwight is naturally a PF, just like when Duncan spent a bit of time a season or 2 ago playing C, Howard will go back to PF. But, for now, I'll leave him off the list

1. Kevin Garnett
2. Tim Duncan
3. Amare Stoudemire (there because Shaq is C)
4. Dirk Nowitzki
5. Chris Bosh
