I believe this a really hotly debated discussion of who the best PF's of all-time are so here is my list.

1.Tim Duncan
2.Karl Malone
3.Charles Barkley
4.Kevin Mchale
5.Dirk Nowitzki

yeah, I have to agree that KG should be on there over McHale, too.

I believe we have a SI top at each position, too..

maybe it's time for an update?

Dirk re-invented the PF spot, but he's not a top 5.

I say
1.Tim Duncan
2.Karl Malone
3.Kevin Garnett
4.Kevin Mchale
5.Bob Pettit

I was gunna have Barkley at 5, but Pettit made the PF sport a real a power spot. And KG is better than Barley too, thats why KG is over Barkley.

But Barkley should be on there so he's tied for 5 for my choices.

1. Malone
2. Duncan
3. Barkley

The rest from there are debatable.

KG and Dirk will both be top 5 if they play like they both do another 5 or so years

I still think you can't compare players now-a-days to players way-back-when. I mean the game was completely different. Tons of white guys, then when several tall guys come in they average like 40ppg and 30rpg, thats just ridiculous now days. Also the game was not even close to as physical as it is now.

IMO

True but Dirk is better at it. No denying that.

Plus Dirk is more well-known in the globalization of the game. Probably the greatest European player ever.

Indeed he is better at it, but he didn't start anything. He just made it better.

Yeah. I really don't give credit or see why people say Dirk was the first of his breed. Really Bird was the first of that breed big man breed who was agile and hit the threes and that was why he was so good. No one knew what hit em with him. Dirk is just the closet thing to Bird probably. I mean Dirk and Bird are the only players in the history of the NBA to shoot 50% FG, 40% 3P FG, 90% FT in a season. So that's why they get compared more. But Bird's obviously better because he won titles and was probably more of a better shooter then Dirk.

Dirk should be recognized first for probably being the best European player ever
