Exactly my point. And when it's a follow slam and they call it, replays show the ball outside of the cylinder about 90% of the time.
 
Getting it right once isn't worth nine fuck ups. It's a terrible, nonsensical rule that is too hard to apply.

I am lamenting an absurd rule that should not exist. I even said that it's too hard to apply. Not blaming the officials, blaming the flawed concept. The rule is pointless when it's too hard to apply correctly.
