Just like James Harden.
Harden is a superstar and one of the leagues best players, Kanter isn't that. Completely different case.

The Thunder are 3.4 pts better per 100 possessions with Kanter off the floor than on.

I feel like the casual fan wouldn't even know anything about Kanter's reputation on D.  If he's pumping out nearly 20-10 numbers, that's all they'll know.

Kyrie was voted as an All-Star started last year, made the all-star game the year before and barely missed out his rookie year

:kobe:

But, Kanter is only a little less exciting, so the comparison might not be completely valid.

That's exactly where I'm coming from, do you feel like the casual fan would vote Kanter in as the West starting C? I mean we are seeing centers kind of phased out as it is. I guess it's possible, but more unlikely. So that leaves the coaches. Do you think the coaches would vote in a C that is a turnstile defensively? I don't.

I mean think of the offensive minded centers that don't have a reputation for defense, Cousins, Big Al, and Brook Lopez come to my mind. They have 9 seasons of 19+ points per game between them, but only two All-Star appearances. Both of those appearances were as injury replacements as well. Fans and coaches just don't vote those kinds of guys in.

I don't know, I'm really just playing devil's advocate.

Two of those guys have made an all-star team, though.  heh

It's just another one of Mexi's premature star comments.

Schroder is also a star, have you heard?

Mexi makes a lot of proclamations like that so if he gets one right out of 5 he brags about the one and acts like he never said the other 4 things haha

It's so easy to say, that dude plays well he'll be an all-star. But it's the same when we're talking "snubs". There have to be other players left off for those guys to become all-stars.

One right pick doesn't cancel out all your wrong ones. Especially Gilbert lol

With Durant and Ibaka out. His opportunities are going to decrease next year with them back

I was right about the Spurs finishing with a bottom three seed, and LeBron having his worst statistical season since his rookie year (although he's playing a career low in minutes, and his per 36 numbers are basically normal, but that's irrelevant)

Dead wrong about everything else though

See, I don't make predictions.

Although I did call the Heat being at the bottom of the playoff seeds, while almost everybody had them at 3,4 or 5 at worst.
