Houston's current issues:

1. Patrick Beverly is shooting way too many threes. He can't make them, and just firing them up there isn't going to make him better at it. Either Isaiah Canaan needs minutes, including those 4th quarter minutes, or the Rockets just need to deactivate him if his ankle isn't 100%. Just tell me that he isn't healthy or explain why he isn't at least in the rotation. The kid was playing very well when Beverly was hurt. Put the better player out there.

2. Forcing Josh Smith into the equation. Starters are important. Taking DMo out of a role he was thriving in has not been good for Houston. Ask Josh to take a back seat for the time being and if he refuses, start shopping him, immediately. His presence is not paying dividends right now, so stop forcing the issue.

4. Ariza isn't getting the same open threes. Teams have found ways to keep him covered, and that isn't helping.

All in all, it's still early in the season, and 21-9 is nothing to be laughed at. I just don't like losing home games to teams like Atlanta and Washington. Are both very good teams? Yes, but a high end West team needs to win at least one of those games.

Isn't Beverley in the top 20 in the NBA in three point %? He was when I looked at the leaderboard like a week ago.

Paul Pierce is so fucking annoying as an opposing fan. He looks like an uncoordinated, unatheletic doofus. He's really always looked like that, yet he's always been so talented. It makes no sense.

He's 24th and I have no idea how. Is there some other dimension that they play in, too, because I can't remember the last time I saw Pat Beverly make a jump shot.

That doesn't change my stance on Canaan, because he was playing very well and is a big time 4th quarter player. I want to see him back out there

young pierce was so damn good, because he had the athleticism to attack the hoop, and then do his classic up fake-fade-and one move

Beverley has to keep shooting.  He is a huge key for them - he has to be a 40% 3 shooter and the only way he is going to get there is by continuing to shoot in games and in practice.  He's still over 40% on the year while averaging 6 a game which is a great clip.  He was ridiculously hot in November, and colder in December... if he can fall somewhere in between the 2 consistently, he will be a key piece at the PG spot.

Pierce was a one-of-a-kind really.  He was athletic but not in a traditional way... elite first step and amazing footwork.  His jump shot was terrible looking IMO, really flat, but always consistently made it.  The guy has killed the Raptors for a decade an a half.  I hated him for so long.

Maybe you're right, I dunno. I just think Canaan's upside could be exposed with more minutes and then boom, Houston has a much better PG without needing to have Morey try and make some dumbass move at the deadline or in the offseason. I think Houston's PG solution is on the roster.

As for Pierce, it's very very hard not to hate a guy who rode off the court in a wheelchair only to run back on mere minutes later and play the hero. Talk about melodrama.

Please stop talking about sports injuries if you have no idea what you are talking about

He was fatigued from playing at such a high level, and fell awkwardly on his leg. He couldn't put pressure on his leg, because of the shock created by the impact.
Anyone who has played basketball has had this happen to them; myself on multiple occasions.

They brought him back to the locker room, and he slowly walked around, and got back to being able to move his leg. And then he was fine to go.

Its not really melodrama; he couldn't walk right away because that part of his body was in shock, and forcing the leg to move is how you destroy a knee. Once his body returned to a homeostasis level, he walked around on it until he was ready to go. As a thin guy myself, it happens all the time.

Cavs get great players, and we still have all this fuckin drama. Shit never changes.

I don't think LeBron would actually leave, but if he actually thought about doing it after preaching this being a "process", well I don't even know.

Not sure I want to blow that Memphis pick right now, as we could package it with the Haywood 10+ million dollar non-guaranteed contract next off-season for a high impact player, but we might have to, to appease this mothafucka.

If this all ends with David Blatt being fired for Mark Jackson, I might just become a Russell Westbrook fan only. Fuck.

i didn't google anything.....

Its called personal knowledge of a similar situation, and watching the game live. My knees lock up decent amount of times like that; I know what Pierce felt then (probably).
