That's a bit of an overreaction.

Pelicans arent a shitty team by any means. Plus there's not a lot you can do when Davis is on his game like that.

Right? Especially with how we have played as of late, 5-2 in our last seven and really should be 6-1 because we should have snapped Golden States win streak. This is a good team that's starting to come together, led by a top 3 player in the game.

And I talked about it last season, but this isn't a bad matchup for us. Jrue can contain Harden.

What kind of role will Wright have in Boston?  I've always wanted to see how he does with an expanded role.  Dude has always been lights out in a severely limited amount of minutes.

He'll replace Bass as our backup big next to Olynyk, as Zeller and Sully are the starters. He might end up starting at C too over Zeller, since we have no rim protection on this team

I'm not sure if this was intended by Danny Ainge as his ultimate plan, or if it just worked out this way, but 2016 is his set goal for now.

Contracts going into the 2016-17 season:
Avery Bradley: $8.3M
Marcus Smart: $3.6M (team option)
Kelly Olynyk: $3.1M (team option)
Tyler Zeller: $3.7M (RFA)
James Young: $1.8M (team option)

Jared Sullinger: $3.3M (RFA)
Phil Pressey: $1.2M (RFA)
2015 BOS 1st (est $3M)
2015 LAC 1st (est $1M)
2015 PHL 2nd (est $600K)

I'm not saying at all that Boston will end up with all of these guys, and win a title in 2017. But Ainge has it beautifully set up, where he can have Marcus Smart, two other Top 10 picks (2015,2016), plus maybe another if Brooklyn sucks next year be a nice young core, and it would be an attractive place for free agents to come to. Most likely, this goal will fail poorly. But it has a really high upside
