Anthony Chickillo is gonna surprise some people. The inept dunces on the coaching staff at Miami got the brilliant idea to bulk him up to nearly 290 and have him play inside, which took away a strength of his coming out of high school.
He's down to 255 now, and should play on the outside exclusively. If that first step held up, I think he'll turn into a solid pass rusher.
Redskins brought Junior Galette in for a visit, and from what I hear, he's scheduled to take a physical, so it sounds like they're closing in on actually signing him.
If we land Galette, McCloughan will have completely overhauled the defense in one offseason, and put a ton of actual talent on the roster. That front seven looks pretty damn ridiculous on paper.
Paea, Potroast, Hatcher, Galette, Kerrigan, Riley, Trent Murphy, Preston Smith, Keenan Robinson... I may be falling for the old Redskins offseason trap once again, but I'm optimistic about the defense. The main difference this time around is that we have a proven talent evaluator running the show in McCloughan.
