Allegedly in January Skiles told an assistant coach (Adrian Griffin) that he made a mistake in taking the job, the assistant took it to management and Hannigan was furious because he hadn't wanted to hire him but Skiles lobbied the DeVos family (owners) with texts/calls to get the job. Hannigan wanted to tell the DeVos family about Skiles saying he made a mistake taking the job, CEO Alex Martins talked him out of it.
 
Among other things Skiles hated Tobias Harris and had no faith in Elfrid Payton as the PG of the future

I was in Orlando for 4 four years and its amazing how much the city no longer gives a damn about basketball. The Orlando City soccer team has all the buzz b/c the Magic have been in the league's longest rebuild. Rob Hennigan needs to be fired. I understand he didn't want Skiles but its Henny who drafts like shit and hasn't played the trade market very well. There's a lot of money here and they need to stop screwing off and just splurge on a bigger name player. If that means trying to coax Dwight into coming back, then so be it.
