Its being said that Triple H was always meant to win, but the decision was made to eliminate Reigns second to last and leave Ambrose in the final two because WWE didnt want the crowd turning on Reigns and cheering for Triple H instead.

WWE knew Ambrose would have the underdog sympathy from the WWE Universe enough for Triple H to gain heel heat by becoming the WWE Champion for the fourteenth time.




2 things here; im pretty sure dan said something along the lines of this. and ambrose isnt an "underdog" to get sympathy cheers, hed get cheered for because the crowd loves him. i guess vince and creative recognize that a little bit is good.

Possible Reason for Lana’s Backstage Heat
As noted via Wrestling Observer Radio, Lana apparently has backstage heat again. While Dave Meltzer provided no details on the audio show, former WCW wrestler Konnan mentioned on his latest podcast that the heat comes from an incident that happened at an airport recently.
Lana was reportedly yelling at Rusev in front of bystanders, and he did nothing about it. Konnan claimed that Rusev also had some heat on him for not sticking up for himself to her.
