Portugal typically are the kings at doing the choke job. They won't beat Brazil, though.

Smyth is the most annoying commentator ever. Period.

Man, Mexico was dominating so much early on... Just couldn't find the back of the net.

Wow Mexico should be up 2-0. South Africa had its chances at the end of the half but just couldnt finish. Dos Santos is a very good dribbler and I expect him to set someone up for the goal.

South Africa with the first goal of the World Cup. Very nice, looks like this has turned into a real match now.

I can't believe he hit the post at the end. That was a wicked play by the South Africa goalie to get that ball up, right there.

Mexico should have won 2-1. No clue why the first goal by them was taken away?

I was surprised at first but the replay showed why. The goalkeeper is usually the last defender but it's not a rule that he is. So when he went up to play the ball on the corner he became the "defender" and the guy in the net was the "keeper".

So, while an unorthodox situation, it was offside. That make sense? lol

It was an offside, 2 players need to be back on corners.

Yes, when the corner is taken.

The offside wasn't on the corner, it was the flick back after the corner. Watch this video, it should give you an idea of what I mean.

France has gotten some pretty good chances at scoring in this 1st half. Uruguay should be happy with 0-0 right now.

Ahhh, alright. I understand that now. I never saw a situation like that before.

Yeah, pretty weird situation to say the least. I was shocked at first -- but it makes sense now. Regardless, France and Uruguay has been good so far.

Forlan is a really good striker, he makes that Uruguay offense go. I think Frank Ribery has been rather quiet this 2nd half and Im quite dissapointed in him.

Forlan is quite an underrated player. Gets overshadowed by guys like Messi, Ibra, Ronaldo, Kaka, and some other guys in La Liga but he's a very good striker. I'm still looking for him to score the goal to steal this game from France; I actually told a friend of mine that he would score two.
