Good news Pistons fans:

Amick and others are reporting the Kings-Rockets deal is not as close as some are making it seem.

Just saw on ESPN that the Rockets could also trade with the Raptors at 8.

That would really piss me off.

If he doesn't want to work he will definitely bust.
had kwame not gone number 1 no one would look at him like a bust and drummond is already better than him. his size already gives him a spot in this league. hes still a kid. hes going to get around other pros and hes going to work.

His offense is about as developed as Dwight was coming out of high school.

Mike Schmitz from draftexpress say his best case nba comparison is Andrew Bynum and his worst case is Kwame Brown.

Thabeet should have a spot in this league based on size too and look how that turned out. That's his worst case imo.

I'm just trying to talk myself down on Drummond so I won't feel bad when we don't get him.

Why does Drummond's size guarantee him a spot in the league?

Did we forget about Hasheem Thabeet, 7'3" 270lbs?

sources: Charlotte talking with Cavs and Rockets about trading #2 pick. not sure if teams making separate offers or if it's a 3-way trade.

Pistons expected to take UNC’s John Henson at No. 9

I’m higher on North Carolina’s shot-blocking forward John Henson than most, or at least most not wearing powder blue.

And if he falls to No. 9, which is highly likely, look for the Detroit Pistons to grab him, reports the Detroit Free Press.

Henson is the likely pick. The Pistons like his makeup and, despite concerns about his frame, he was able to gain nearly 40 pounds during his three seasons at North Carolina, so he figures to put the work in. He projects to be a plus defender, and with shot-blocking at a premium with the way the game is called now, Henson figures to be a contributor.

You can see Henson as a defensive and rebounding force next to Greg Monroe, them making a solid pairing going forward. Build from defense. Henson also showed offensive improvement each year at UNC and while he’s still raw he could develop into a respectable player at that end of the floor.

They may take Meyers Leonard or Andre Drummond (both also big men), but if it’s Henson I like the pick.
