I'm thinking long term. They say Drummond will take a few years to pan out if he does, which means we will suck for a couple more years. There is no reason to now add a Henson, who could probably help us win games now yes, but will only give us a worst draft pick in the end.

If we take Drummond and he doesn't play well, we stay in the lottery and add more pieces next year, while we also have that cap space. And just hope Drummond does pan out (which could be a superstar). But to take Henson, and be just a little better, but not good enough, is completely pointless to me.
Drummond would need that Hakeem Olajuwon training lol.

To be honest, I don't see what makes him any less of a potential bust than Henson, or anyone really (minus a guy like Anthony Davis).

Drummond's post game would improve immensely if he went to Houston and worked with McHale/Hakeem.

henson best case to me is 14/10/2. worst case 10/8/1. drummond best case(five years from now) 18/11/2. worst case 10/10/1 and that could be lower this season. i want to hit the homerun pick too but maybe henson IS that pick. he also allows us to keep gmoe at the 5 where i think hes better suited.

Henson is a sac fly to score a run to tie.

I don't think you grasp the idea of a worst case scenario, lol.

No way is Drummond's worst case 10/10

yes there is when it could take 5 seasons to get that one season.

I'll stop ranting though. Ultimately out of my hands. Can bicker all I want but I can't affect the outcome of this draft.

but that wouldn't be the worst case scenario.

Worst case, he's out of the league in 5 years.

And Drummond is Mark Reynolds, a guy who's averaged 35 homers a year over the previous four years, but has lead the league in strikeouts in those four years and bats .230

no. hes going to be in the league for 10+ years. when people say he has 'superstar' potential and it takes 5 years to get that ONE good season.. thats worst case. hes going to be a solid pro just because of his size and how athletic he is.

I think Henson will be a 14/9 guy in a few years. Not like I think he is going to be a waste of a pick or something. I'm just not in love with him, mainly because of his slight frame. I mean Piston fans assume Prince would bulk up. Daye would bulk up. Prince was solid regardless, Daye sucks. You never know with skinny dudes. I just think when it is all said and done, Drummond will be a great player in this league, contrary to popular belief.
