I'd still much rather have Drummond. But if it comes down to Henson, like it likely will, I won't be all that upset. I just really don't think he has much of an upside to him, IDK. I want upside. The thought of Drummond's potential makes me want him bad.
You may want upside but you guys need a player you can count on.

A team who keeps picking right near the middle of the lotto needs to swing for the fences, not take low risk picks. That, or rip your team apart and re-start a rebuild.

The Pistons have some nice pieces. I say they've made some idiotic decisions recently, but in the next two years they could have Gordon, Villanueva, Stuckey, Hamilton, and Maxiell's contract coming off the books.

With guys like Monroe (their building block), Knight, Jerekbo (good bench guy), and heck even Stuckey they have a nice little nucleus they could develop for the future. Their best bet is to stay the course and not try to hit a home run with a player that probably has a higher bust rate than anyone else. Stay the course, continue to add young talent that you can count on, and maybe even be able to move some of those vets before their contracts are up.

Heck, I think their best bet may be to see if Houston has any interest in moving up (there may be a guy they like in the top 10) and take the 14th and 16th pick off their hands. That way you could possibly still land a guy like Perry Jones at 14 or 16 and you could take a guy that has a lower bust rate and will be a solid player. I think Terrence Jones would be a good fit.

The only good piece they really have is Monroe. I thought Knight was going to be an inefficient combo guard in the NBA, and nothing I saw his rookie year changed my opinion. Stuckey is alright, but not what I would call a foundation piece or someone you really need. Would be a good fit on a winning team as a bench scorer.

knight looks like more of a shoot first point guard because he doesnt have the players around him other than greg to really get him assists.

Knight will be a fantastic PG once he gets coached up and has more pieces around him.

yea, he's smart, athletic, can finish at the rim, and can shoot. im not worried about his point guard skills hecause our team lacks weapons. kid is itching to improve, been in the gym all off-season.

I'm just curious as to what y'all think Knight's ceiling is.

I'd say Knight's peak would be a lesser version of a Billups/Felton combo

I think he has the potential to be a better scoring version of Billups

Only 3 guys in the entire league averaged 16/8 last year.

Yeah and considering he averaged around THREE assists per game this year I wouldn't be so sure about him getting to 8. Maybe 6...

With the right players around him I don't see why Knight can't be a 16 and 8 guy. Though I think maybe you could raise the points a little and slightly lower the assists.

id be happy with 18/6. either way, he can shoot and drive the ball. his eye isnt bad either because he made quite a few real good and hard passes last year. his almost has NO options. gmoe still doesnt get a ton of plays ran for him and the rest of the team gets the ball and plays iso.

Don't see him developing into a 8-9 assists per game guy..I can see 17-18/6 though

14/6 in his best year is what I'd have him at.

which still isnt bad. hed still have good %s. as long as monroe keeps getting better im sure that duo will be just fine for years. i dont see ego issues with them so they should stay put.

I'm not sure about Knight and the good shooting %s but we'll see.
