If Waiters got a promise from Cleveland at 4, that'd have to be one of the craziest/earliest top 4 promises of all-time. I got the feeling that it was from Toronto because I can't see him going any higher than 8, but if they're trying to trade the pick then I guess all bets are off.

Waiters' promise was NOT from Toronto. Leads me to believe it was from Portland at 6, because I don't think he'd shut down his workouts if the Suns at 13 gave him a promise when he could go as high as 6/8.

Portland reportedly has a promise out to Lillard.

Yep, I read that last night. I also just read that one NBA executive said it's def Toronto which gave Waiters the promise, fwiw.

Also found this to be interesting:

Observations from measurements: Sullinger's standing reach is only 1 inch less than Anthony Davis- there goes the "wisdom" he is too small

Bryan Colangelo himself said that the promise wasn't from them and they're continuing to shop the pick with the hopes of bringing in veterans in return.

It has to be Toronto, I just don't see why a kid who was on the rise would take a promise from the Suns. Doesn't make much sense.

He also said they aren't shopping the pick.

Why would the Blazers even bother telling people to shut it down in workouts? No one in front of them is going to take Waiters before them. The only way I could see it if they're taking him at 11, but again, he can go higher than that. Just doesn't make sense as to why he's shutting it down, seems like bad advice from his agent to me.

It probably is. I can't remember anyone shutting it down THIS early. Like has he even worked out for ANY team yet?

This sucks. I really was looking forward to the Waiters/Ross/Lamb/Rivers workouts for 2nd SG in the class. Dion is ruining this for me.

Davis was wearing a shirt that said "check my stats", and someone asked T-Rob about it and he said if you check his stats then he should go #1.
