Damn the Padres are 5 games above the Giants and in command of the division, thats hilarious. I really thought they were going to be awful. This might be what was neeeded to keep Adrian Gonzalez in San Diego.

Because they have only 2 players above a 4.00 ERA in there entire pitching staff, starters and bullpen. One is Kevin Correia who has had two great months in a row, and the other is some guy who rarely pitches. There bullpen has to be one of the best ever statistically.

Rod Barajas was sent to the Dodgers for cash. The guy was pretty good for us at the beginning of the year but trailed off later on and then got injured. This sets us up to have our catching prospect Josh Thole start now and next year as well.
