lol, I just realized we just SHUTOUT the Phillies for the whole series. A complete shutout, no runs, 0. Man that is very impressive, our pitching really stepped it up. Only 2 games back and now we go on the road and face the Brewers for a 3 game series.

If we get Beltran back and a decent SP, we will make the playoffs. Hopefully your Tigers dont choke like last year and make the playoffs.
Please don't bring up last year, I forgot about it and would prefer forgetting about it, were in 2010 now!

I'm not cutting your team down, I respect the Mets unlike another New York team. I hope your right however, hope the Tigers make the playoffs! The way they've been playing lately, they haven't been playing like a playoff team but there's plenty of time to go.

Yea, I still dont think we are making the playoffs because I have a feeling that Beltran wont be the same guy he once was. Only 1 pitcher has more wins in the NL than Pelfrey and thats Jimenez, pretty sweet.

Sometimes it's stupid when the pitcher has a great era but has more losses than wins. Like oswalt

Yes but on a .500 Record team, I think it ends up being useful. It always seems to be the best pitchers getting the top wins. And maybe the team plays better while a pitcher pitches, idk lol.

yeah but lets take the dodgers as an example.

Tuesday, Kershaw goes 6, gives up 0ER, and gets the loss.
lowers his ERA from 3.23, to 2.90

today, John ELy (ROY!) goes 7.1 superb innings. Gives up 1ER because our RF botched 2 plays, and gets the L.

so you see their records.

Kershaw. 4-3 with a 2.90 ERA
Ely. 3-2 with a 3.00 ERA

then you see a guy like Bronson Arroyo. 4.30 ERA, but he's 5-2.

yeah I love Mike Leake.
Saw him the first month vs the Dodgers. He's a really nice pitcher

makes teams that are all about saving money look kinda dumb
i mean, if you think they are going to be great, you're going to pay them anyways, right?

this year there is so much parity right now, these rookies are saving some ball clubs

The Dodgers would be in trouble without Ely. He's been awesome

Reds probably wouldnt be where they are right now without Leake

Braves are buried without Heyward

look at Florida. Coughlan and Maubin suck. Drew Stanton could be tearing it up like Heyward
Nats have been great. What if Strasburg was up in the bigs and doing respectable? they'd be even better

Interested in seeing Carmona go up against a great lineup.. He's been solid this year but he won't get run support. We can't hit power pitchers, well we can't hit any pitchers actually.

Miguel hits 3 hrs in the game in a losing effort. Typical.

Looks like we got crushed, didn't get to see much of the game, only saw the first couple of innings.

You saw more than I did then.

Javier Vazquez reminds me of the lion in the Wizard of Oz, before he meets the wizard. No courage or willingness to do anything.

Wow.. screwed out of a run from the umps. Jason Donald hits a ball, weak grounder that looked like it went off his foot, but actually probably didn't, there was no call from the umps that it was a foul ball, A-Rod throws it away when he throws to first, we score a run but they call it back and say its foul AFTER A-Rod throws it away.. Guess you have to wait to see if the Yankees make a play.

CB Bucknor is the worst ump of them all.. There were 4 questionable calls at first last night, but it didn't matter since we got blown out.
