John Ely is awesome.
got him from the Sox for Pierre.
what a steal

he's from Illinois too. grew up a ChiSox fan, and he hated the Cubs
pitched awesome today. his family was there behind home plate with a huge sign that said "Joh Ely We're Here!"
when he was taken out, he got a standing O from the Cub fans so that was cool

Dodgers lost the series to the Cubs, but it's all good.
both games we lost were 1-0 and Kershaw and Ely pitched great. Ethier could be back on Monday so I expect the O to get better soon

Still too early to tell who the clear winner is imo. How about Marcum? 2.81 ERA with a 4-1 record.

One scout says the Blue Jays are definitely tracking Fausto Carmona and have watched his last 12 starts.
lol wut? I honestly don't know who the Jays would give up for him. Maybe AA wants another power pitcher.

Romero's last start was wacked up but he'll rebound and pitch a great game his next time out. I blame his parents for being at the game in LA that screwed up Romero.

Touche. Honestly though, I just don't see them doing good this year. Offense is decent Santa and Pelfrey are good but that's it.

I think we will compete all year, not make the playoffs but we will be close at the end of the day. Win about 86 or 85 games.

Put it in the books! Mets win it! Who wouldve thought that we would win 5 out of 6 against the 2 previous years World Series teams? Great heart and great perserverance when this team looked like it was going down the drain just 1 week ago. We can now say that Mike Pelfrey is one of the top pitchers in the National League with a 2.54 ERA and he just looks so confident and shut down a great offensive Phillies team tonight.

I still feel we desperately need Beltran back which will make our lineup look very good. And we need another starting pitcher, someone like a Roy Oswalt who we have coveted for a long time. But for now we need Reyes to continue going and Bay to keep his hot hitting. I think Reyes is getting his stroke back, guy hit a HR last night and 2 RBI's tonight.

The Yankees and Phillies felt bad for you guys so they decided they could give up a couple... ;) At least your happy, for now.

If we get Beltran back and a decent SP, we will make the playoffs. Hopefully your Tigers dont choke like last year and make the playoffs.

Hopefully the Jays can bounce back against the Orioles. We're still just 2.0 GB of the Wildcard. Sad thing is that Boston caught up to us and tied our record. Hopefully we don't fall.
