This is a bad year to have the #1 pick in the draft.  I'm never a fan of having the first pick, but it feels like this year is especially difficult.

This is one of my teams from a NYG forum I post on (not the one they own). Granted, it was auto drafted...I am not a huge fan of the team..We'll see.

12 team:

QB: Cam Newton
WR: Calvin Johnson, Deandre Hopkins
RB: Alfred Morris, TJ Yeldon (yuck)
TE: Rob Gronkowski
W/R:  Brandon Marshall
Defense: Houston
Kicker: Dan Bailey

Bench:
QB - Sam Bradford
WR - Eric Decker, Devin Funchess, Michael Crabtree, Charles Johnson, Cecil Shorts
RB - Isiah Crowell
TE: Jordan Reed

None of the guys at the top are sure things.

AD is AD, but he's been away from the game for a year now.  Who knows exactly where he's at?  Bell is a monster, but he's suspended the first two games.  He's also a one hit wonder at this point.  Lacy is probably the safest pick, but his ceiling isn't as high as Bell, AD or Charles.

It's just a tough spot to be in.

Yeldon is interesting.  He's far and away the most talented back in Jacksonville, but I have no idea how much burn he's going to get out of the gate.

I hope he does, because I think I'm a bit weak at the RB spot and I don't think there are many options.

Thoughts on my team?

QB: Matt Ryan
RB:Jeremy Hill, Joseph Randle
WR: Antonio Brown, Alshon Jeffery
TE: Jordan Cameron
Flex:Andre Johnson
Def: Jets
K: Dan Carpenter

Bench:
QB: Sam Bradford
RB: Arian Foster, Duke Johnson
WR: Devonte Adams, John Brown, Stevie Johnson
TE: Julius Thomas

I could drop Stevie Johnson for Brian Quick or Brandon Coleman, and drop Bradford for Cutler?

Drop Stevie for some RB depth. Foster is out for a long time, Randle is no sure starter, Duke is the #3, and Hill still might split carries

Yeah RB is the thing I'm worried about, who you think? Taliaferro, Denard Robinson, or David Cobb?

8 team keeper (two GMs didn't sign up), .5 ppr

Keepers:
1. Peyton Manning
2. Matt Forte
3. Rob Gronkowski
4. Randall Cobb

QB: Peyton Manning
QB: Philip Rivers (I hate starting two qbs btw)
RB: Matt Forte
RB: C.J. Anderson
WR: Randall Cobb
WR: Erik Decker
WR: Davonte Adams
TE: Rob Gronkowski
FLEX: Allen Robinson
K: Adam Vinatieri
Def: Philly

Marques Colston
CJ Spiller
Shane Vereen
Zach Ertz
Marcus Mariota
Green Bay
Nick Folk

I hate my WR group, especially having two GB guys but I guess it could be worse.

Probably the last year of this league because 8 teams sucks.

They aren't really the same but okay.

GMF that team is stacked, but it's pretty hard not to be in an 8 team league. I'd try to trade Adams after a good game. Having two WRs on the same team just has them cannibalizing each other most weeks.

What'd you do with the two GMs who didn't sign up's keepers?

I had Cobb and Nelson last year and it worked wonders for me.

Arian Foster is a great value pick in 6 or 7. He's likely only going to miss 2 games, 4 max. Scooping an RB1 that late is a solid ass steal.

I personally took Bell at #1 in a 12 team league. He has the most upside of any back, even with the 2 game suspension.

My first 3 picks, were Bell, Cobb and Gronk and I scooped Arian in the 7th. Once I get Foster and Bell back, I'll be set. I have DeAngelo Williams and Latavius Murray to fill the void for a few weeks.

If they aren't, then that's OK.

Yea I am worried about having both GB guys, but at the same time you know Rodgers is going to be targeting them both frequebtly so idk. But I'll probably sell him high.

As for those keepers, they all just entered the draft - so the team's got a bit more stacked.

I got the 12th pick in the draft and took Jeremy Hill and Andrew Luck. I hate getting the last pick in the draft.
