i still think the deadline can be good. a lot of rumors out there.
Obviously Houston or Atlanta would love to trade Dwight or Horford for the pick, because that is definitely the maximum value they could get, but the Celtics aren't going to deal that pick to them. Griffin and Cousins are different. I doubt either team is going to take a risk trading for that pick before it's spot is actually established. because I'm pretty sure the Lakers would offer their pick for either guy as well. Might as well wait to see who gets the higher spot.bosoxlover12 said:Teams want that pick, badly. We've already declined Houston and Atlanta's offers for including it, and reportedly will only offer it for Blake (although I assume for Love or for Cousins we would too if we could)
All I meant is the longer we hold it, the lower in value it will be. Sure, it contain value and be #1 or #2. But odds are it won't so I want to move it while the value is high. And teams that are willing to trade their established stars and want the pick in return, like Atlanta, would love to get that pick whenever

ESPN sources say that the Pistons have offered center Joel Anthony to the Houston Rockets in exchange for PF Donatas Motiejunas

Imagine it would take draft compensation from the Pistons as a sweetener for the Rockets to surrender Motiejunas (who they like) in that one

hes a very solid backup for loveelcheato said:I think I like the idea of Channing Frye on the Cavs. He'd be a decent bench piece, and I have no desire to watch Varejao play anymore.
dwight is a $23M expiring. Detroit have up Joel Anthony to get him. Teams already have to move $23M in contracts for Dwight; that's why they don't want to move a 1st tooMexi said:They get a 1st for a guy who has hardly played in 2 years
But cant for dwight
Also the pistons have a better shot at keeping dmo than any team getting dwightbosoxlover12 said:dwight is a $23M expiring. Detroit have up Joel Anthony to get him. Teams already have to move $23M in contracts for Dwight; that's why they don't want to move a 1st too

hes gonna play 3mins a game famelcheato said:I'm not against playing them together in short spurts. I'd love a lineup like Kyrie/JR/LeBron/Love/Frye to try to blitz teams on occasion just to switch things up. But yea, he's mainly gonna be in there with Tristan, or LeBron at the 4.
