Dirk is great in playoffs too. He's had so many great moments there. But they are overshadowed by the GS series. It's sad. And the 06 Finals Dirk didn't play bad, he hit a couple of clutch shots. People just completely forget about it because Wade just played Jordan-esque, with a little help from the zebras. I mean last year in the series against the Spurs, Dirk was pretty much the only player who showed up. There was also the 50 point game in the WCF against the Suns we went to the finals. Also the famous "and 1" against the Spurs in game 7 of the greatest series I've ever watched still to this date.

Makes me sick still. I forget who committed the foul but it was a foul, memory is saying Bowen.

That's the 2nd worst memory I have. The 1st was the .4 second shot Derek Fisher made, and then after the series was over the NBA sent an apology to the Spurs saying the shot should not have counted and blah blah blah. Too late for sorries. The replay clearly showed the shot should not have counted.

But the thing is that did not win the series for the Lakers, but it took all the air out of the Spurs. Lakers closed them out in the next two game I think, and both were by double digits, I think. My memory is shitty I haven't had my coffee yet still.

The Mavs need to trade Terry, get some pieces and try again. Caron being injured sucks, but the Spurs have dealt with injuries to their big 3 every year since the 2007 title run so I don't feel sorry for them what so ever.

Me too. We got one for Finley after the following season he claims he is retiring, so the Spurs do not offer him a deal. Then dude signs with the Celts. SMH

I'm just not sold on the Spurs being able to beat the Lakers in a seven game series.
They say that every year. The Lakers are not the championship Lakers, not even close. SA is the only team in the West that could take them out, in six for that matter.

To be fair, I think the West is very close. Just like the NFC playoffs this year. Anyone can beat anyone.

^ Hell nah bro.

The Spurs/Lakers are in a cruise ship. Mavs/Hornets/Thunder are in a nice little sailboat and the rest are in tug boats.

I don't think so, not with how they got handled the other night @ LA. Even when the Lakers don't have an identity they got man-handled.

Lebron went off yesterday but sad thing is Heat only won by 4...
The Magic were just walking up the court and pulling up for a 3 and they were sinking them towards the end. We were up by like 20 with 4 minutes to go but then the Magic couldn't miss from beyond the arc.

And Bosh was just taking awful shots all game.

That's because Bosh is overrated and has a little head on a big body. His depth perception is all fucked up!

So you don't think those teams could beat the Spurs? The Hornets and Mavs have already proven they can beat the Spurs, and the Hornets have done it twice.

Am I saying they would definetly take down the Spurs? No. But it'd be a very competitive series.

The Mavericks have zero chance to take down the Spurs. Especially with no Butler. The Hornets have a chance, but a small one. They said the same thing going into the first round a couple seasons ago and ended up getting beat so, I don't buy that now either.

The Hornets "get up" to play the Spurs. Probably still burning from that 7 game series I'm not sure. But every game since then they get all hyped up and the fans get all rowdy when the Spurs could really careless, they been there before and are used to that stuff. Hornets need Jamison to be taken seriously.

No doubt, that one hurt. The fact that we fell apart with injuries the following season hurt also. We're still trying to recover from that.

2-2 is how the series went this year btw. 380 pts scored by SA vs 374. three blowouts, 2 from the spurs, one from nola, the other was a 9 point loss inflated because of fouling at the end of the game sending nola to the line.
