Brandon would be undersized at SF, and too slow for SG...
He is an undersized SF, but I think he could still play it and be solid at it.Brandon would be undersized at SF, and too slow for SG...
Mayo would be a horrible PG and it's probably just a smokescreen. Like I said before in this thread, anything I hear about the Heat I know is just rumors thrown out to help Riley and I won't believe anything until Draft Night.I've been hearing lately that pat riley would consider taking OJ at number 2. OJ's brought has brought himself back up to top 5 range. And Bill walker is impressing people i saw some of his training footage and Bill looks to be back in his old athletic freak form. And Brandon rush is supposedly impressing people. The word is that phoenix is lookin at him with the 15th pick
No actually he's played pg all his life. it was just tim floyd system that made him look like he is incapable of playin pg.Mayo would be a horrible PG and it's probably just a smokescreen. Yep that's probably the only way I'd accept anyone other than Rose/Beasley to be picked. If we get 2 players (a pick and a veteran like Brand) for the price of one (heck throw in Haslem). But, like I said, WAY too many scenarios and thoughts out there. I will just wait and laugh at everything I see until Draft Night. If Riley skips over Beasley/Rose I think he needs to be fired. lmao
Unless he does go after a buy like Brand or whatever.
Mayo-Wade-Marion-Brand-Who cares
Coming from a Pistons fan ! I sure hope so. All we need is a good player in the draft, a defensive minded C who can rebound (I'm hoping for Diop) and a good PG (be it from the draft or otherwise). When it's all said and done, I think the Heat will be back in the playoffs next season.
Bold statementWhen it's all said and done, I think the Heat will be back in the playoffs next season.
Well IMO it would take more than that. It would also involve your pick and you would probably get a pick no higher than 10th and some contracts to match the trade.Meh, with how weak the East is, it could be really easy to make it.
If the Pistons lose to Boston though, I can see us trading up in the draft. That would invole sending Sheed and Amir somewhere for a mid lottery pick. Something like that.
Wade playing point? No way! Take it from a Heat fan, that is a horrible idea. Thanks to J-Will sucking/being injured most of the time, and Banks and Quinn not being good ball handlers, he had to always be basically playing PG at SG. He averaged 4.39 TPG the games he did play, and if he kept playing would have lead the league! At one point I know he averaged 5! He is so much better having someone else handle the ball (look at 2006 when J-Will was good/healthy, and look at Kobe with Fisher), we need a PG badly. That's why Mayo would be a bad option unless he REALLY learns how to pass-first, shoot 2nd.Why is everybody assuming Mayo would be playing PG? Dwyane Wade has shown he's capable of playing point, I don't see why that should be ruled out...
As for the Pistons, I could see them trading Prince or maybe even Billups in the offseason. Not too many teams would want Rasheed because he is getting old and he would be bad for a younger team's morale. Billups is expendable if the Pistons are truly sold that Stuckey is their future, but his contract would be a huge obstacle.
