The Nuggets traded for swingman James White on Tuesday, sending the rights to forward Axel Hervelle, a 2005 draft pick, to the Rockets. White has averaged 5.7 points and 2.0 rebounds in 10 career games with the Spurs and Rockets. He posted 25.9 points per game in the D-League last season before being called up by the Rockets.
Hervelle has yet to appear in an NBA game, playing in Spain last season.

deal.I'll eat my shoe if they win more than 67.
deal.
its so out of the question since they won 65 last year and have everyone coming back minus Ariza, BUT they got worse with Artest.
The Knicks have reached an agreement with David Lee on a one-year contract that will pay him $7 million and an additional $1 million bonus if the Knicks make the playoffs this coming season.
Nets guard Rafer Alston expects to begin the season with either the Knicks or Heat, according to a source.
"New York and Miami are the top two teams on Rafer's list," the source told ESPN 1050 in New York. "He can't play in a contract year in New Jersey behind Devin Harris and Keyon Dooling."
Alston was part of the package that the Magic sent to the Nets for Vince Carter back in June.
Because of his expiring contract, Alston is a valuable trade chip.
"(Mike) D'Antoni might be the only coach in the league that would let Rafer be Rafer," the source added.
LMAO. He does!is it just me or does Andre look like a black adam sandler?
eww does Rip have a mohawk? The only hint of basketball news, of all things, is the possibility that Fisher will be moved into a reserve role after two years of starting every game at point guard in favor of a very big lineup of 6-foot-6 Bryant and 6-foot-7 Artest in the backcourt and 6-foot-10 Odom, 7-0 Gasol and 7-0 Andrew Bynum across the front. There has been no commitment from Jackson, with eight exhibition games still ahead before the Oct. 27 regular-season opener against the Clippers.
Hawks captain and All-Star Joe Johnson said he will not sign a contract extension with the Hawks and will play out the final year of his contract this season.Johnson will be an unrestricted free agent next summer.
The Hawks extended a four-year, $60-plus million contract offer to Johnson this summer. But Johnson said he decided not to sign the extension after mulling it over during the offseason.
By not signing Johnson will enter a deep free agent crop next summer headlined by reigning MVP LeBron James as well as fellow All-Stars Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh.
"My sole focus right now is on this team and what we're trying to accomplish this season," Johnson said. "I have some goals set for this season for my team and I have some individual goals set for myself as well. I really feel like this team is ready to take that step to the next level. I also feel like I can be one of the elite players in this league, I feel like I'm right there, so it's going to be an exciting year."
Johnson is in the fifth and final year of a $70 million deal he signed with Phoenix before being traded to the Hawks in a sign-and-trade deal in August 2005.
