When you look at what are considered the elite teams currently (Lakers, Celtics, Cavaliers, Magic, Spurs, etc.). They're all teams that are considered top defensive teams. If you're content with the Heat getting Boozer just because you wanna claim that no one plays defense anymore, far be it from me to stop you, but they aren't going to get anywhere. Even the Nuggets, when they brought defensive minded Billups onto the squad, they were scoring 110+. Now that they're committing more to the other side of the floor, scores went from 90-100.It's not an exageration at all. Go look at the final scores of all the playoff games this year and you'll see the majority of them have 100+ to upper 90's as the final score. The differnce in scoring stems from the defensive rule changes they have made the past 10 years not how better players are offensively now a days. To be honest today's players can't shoot for the life of them. Players from the 80's and 90's shot better from the field. Today's players are dunkers which is why we're seeing more and more foreign players in the NBA because they bring that shooting touch with them. There are also no legitimate centers anymore either. So teams are smaller in general and just run up and down the court more then they did in the past.
Just heard via radio that the Heat offered 9 million a year to Odom, but they don't know how many years.
Pat Riley confirmed that the Heat have been in talks with Lamar Odom and have prepared an offer that matches what the Lakers have put on the table, when accounting for Florida's lack of state income tax and other options regarding payments.
During a private discussion with season ticket holders, Riley also said that their goal of attracting a top 2010 talent remains their most important.
he also said he'd like to be traded to Chicago. It's not like he's an FA, where he wants to go doesnt matter.Booz, and he wants to be traded here so
