The Mariners are in no way interested in trading 2010 Cy Young Award winner Felix Hernandez.

"I have no interest in trading Felix," Seattle GM Jack Zduriencik told the New York Daily News Wednesday. "He's a true ace, a true No. 1, and those are difficult to find. We're very happy to have him here."

The Yankees struck out on Cliff Lee when they attempted to complete a trade with the Mariners last July and were unsuccessful in their free agent pursuit as well. The club's pursuit of a frontline pitcher has sparked rumors of interest in Hernandez.

"I can't control what anybody talks about," Zduriencik said. "But like I said, I have no interest in trading Felix."

They can't, his individual accomplishments are keeping the club in the headlines. Once Ichiro's career is over, the M's are a Felix Hernandez away from being the Pittsburgh Pirates.

Well they're still going to have to trade him most likely or lose him for nothing.

lol are you calling Greinke overrated? How can a player who plays for the Royals be overrated?

I'm sure Greinke and King Felix are in the same category

Both are great pitchers that I'd love to have, either or. I'm not sure Greinke will do much better with the Brewers though. Why couldn't he come to Detroit? :( Royals just didn't want to deal with him, lol.

The Mariners should look into trading Ichiro. I think he deserves one last shot at a ring and as a fan I would like to see more of what he could possibly do in the playoffs before he is washed up. The Mariners should trade Ichiro to a contending team like the Giants or Twins who have prospects that can put together a nice package for him.
