Source: RealGMThe Mariners are in no way interested in trading 2010 Cy Young Award winner Felix Hernandez.
"I have no interest in trading Felix," Seattle GM Jack Zduriencik told the New York Daily News Wednesday. "He's a true ace, a true No. 1, and those are difficult to find. We're very happy to have him here."
The Yankees struck out on Cliff Lee when they attempted to complete a trade with the Mariners last July and were unsuccessful in their free agent pursuit as well. The club's pursuit of a frontline pitcher has sparked rumors of interest in Hernandez.
"I can't control what anybody talks about," Zduriencik said. "But like I said, I have no interest in trading Felix."
