Gobert was the teams second best player
That's why I said scorer

But if you want to present that the 14ppg Rudy Gobert was the second most important offensive player on that team, it only strengthens my argument

Either way, still Gobert on offense

I don't think you got my point lol

Hayward should look better than Kyrie based on last years stats. Doesn't mean Hayward is better than Kyrie

Are we really talking about comparing a guy who the offense was built around and the team's second best scorer was George Hill, and a guy who was in an offense built in a scheme counter-intuitive to give him efficient scoring?
Counter intuitive? It was an iso heavy offense, that's basically all Kyrie does. And Kyrie led the team in usage rate

Yea I'm pretty sure Zach Lowe and Howard Beck would understand this. And I'm relying on them because because they (or at least Zach) know more than most around the sport

Oh i defenitely agree with that bosox, but Gobert is a dog on offense and all the advanced got him going thru the roof. Hill did put up 3 more points but its not all about ppg

And i only brought this up because you love all those numbers, dont really care either way, bnc is wrong and you are right

That's literally my point

You'll never boast efficiency running isolation plays. Lebron can do it because hes always either stronger or faster than his matchup, and it forces his teammates to either run the same offense or be a catch and shoot player.

Kyrie's gonna be in Brad's P&P 5-Out offense, which promotes ridiculously efficient plays because there is no rim protection (or an open Horford for 3 who shot like 63% last postseason from there). He's finally in an offense that will actually suit his skills

Sure he can iso, but thats not what he'll be doing most in Boston

What do you mean in an offense that can suit his skills? His skills are iso related. And yea he'll probably look a bit better next year, but that says more about Brad than it does about Kyrie

I totally get you for having an opinion about Kyrie possibly not being a franchise player, but to say that hes not better than Hayward is just going too far bro

Zach knows more about NBA than everyone on this board put together, he is easily one of the most respected analysts in the sport

But it's not though, neither are franchise players. I can understand thinking Kyrie is better, but to say it's ridiculous that Hayward could be better is laughable

When you're on LeBron's team, the offense is going to be ISO heavy, because of him, that's how he wants to play. LeBron makes role players significantly better. The only help he gives other primary ball handlers/stars is taking away attention.

Dont say Kyrie isnt a franchise player when we havent seen it yet. Its obvious Hayward isnt and would never be the #1 guy on a championship team, but we havent seen Kyrie yet. And please dont bring up those early years when he was 18 years old

We can easily sit here and say that Lebron has been holding Kyrie back, regardless of the usage % or whatever you wanna throw out

Again tho, its all to be determined real soon

That's such an insult to his talent. He's a fantastic finisher, top 2 in the league
