Don't think it really matters... lolAlright...back on topic:
Keeping the guy around all preseason then releasing him days before the regular season and days before he is due to make a 8M bonus? Stories like this get around among NFL players, this can't be good for Jacksonville attracting future free agents.
"Yeah, Jacksonville has money on the table, but im not going.. fuck that.. here I come UFL"
At the end of the day, its a business... and it was a business decision in crunchtime.
All because it happened to Garrard doesn't mean it'd happen to somebody else.
QB is the most important position and they needed the time to evaluate. Wasn't like this was the plan 3 weeks ago.
