Garrard went to Welcome Jags season-opening banquet at noon today, then got news from Del Rio, GM Smith, WWeaver. Tough business.

Keeping the guy around all preseason then releasing him days before the regular season and days before he is due to make a 8M bonus? Stories like this get around among NFL players, this can't be good for Jacksonville attracting future free agents.
