Okay but why would anyone want to use that if it limits what they can see/use on the site?

I have seen it and was looking for something different than stumbled across the full version on the very bottom.  I don't really care for the other version as I think it's a little more difficult but could just be a preference.

The mobile theme is not supposed to be flashy. It's designed by IP Board to be a simple way to navigate the website on a mobile device which would have a screen like 1/10 the size of the average PC monitor. Having signatures & avatars appear would clutter up the phone screen & also probably cause it to use more battery to load the images on every page you visit. That's why they designed it without the signatures & avatars visible.

its much easier and faster to use the mobile theme. before we had it, i used normal skins. always had to zoom in or out.

i do have question about that though, is there anyway we could get the url area of the mobile skin to change color? facebook on our phones changes that area to blue, some other sites do it as well(ive seen red). would be neat.

also want to point out how fast i did THAT for the people who complain about uploading on mobile.

not a big deal. it would be unique for us. we need a brand. a set color scheme. then we could think about trying to change the mobile colors to match.

btw is the "The Sports Forum" banner on the signavatar thing multiple times? Because I see it like 30 times a day and it's actually getting pretty annoying now.

It still needs to be fixed for Tapatalk. It's so much easier to use than the mobile version and it's the primary browsing app for some of the users.
