Other NBA GMs saw how much Houston was willing to over-compensate to only land Pau Gasol. I'm sure Hennigan paid attention and is playing absolute hardball with them.

If this trade happens, Rob Hennigan will be a legend in Orlando. Not because he's getting stars in return or anything, but an Orlando team with the core coming over from Houston just needs a center. They're rebuild would be instantly started with all of these pieces.

I don't get why everyone is talking about that being an amazing offer. Yeah it's a lot for the Rockets to give up, but none of those players are really that good, with the exception of Kevin Martin.

Lamb, White, and Jones are rookies and could be good.

Chandler Parsons is okay but he is a bench player.

Marcus Morris and Patrick Patterson are okay haven't really shown be anything.

The Magic would be one of the worst teams in the league if they took that deal with average young pieces at best.

If the Magic actually liked that offer, they would have taken it. Like CC said, clearly they feel they are getting inferior players in return

A better trade for OKC's interest would be Harden+PJ3+Reggie+Perk+future 1sts

Give up more pieces, but have the scariest post defense since Duncan+Robinson. And still Durant and Russy

I don't think we'd take OKC's offer unless we got Harden AND Ibaka.

and aren't there picks involved too? just way too much, and that's a lot of roster space you have to fill up with a lot of FAs already signing.

The Magic can't agree to the trade yet because Houston has to wait on Lin and Asik being matched in order to be sure they have the salary space to do it. It isn't even on the table yet. It's just talk.

Chandler Parsons is an excellent #3 and is a starter. Not even close to a bench player.

Royce White is going to be great. Jones and Lamb are iffy. I can see Jones as a good defender and rebounder with a slowly developing post game and an outside shot. Jeremy Lamb could be Luther Head part II.

This^ Chandler Parsons played very good last season at the 3, not even close to a bench player.

Also I highly doubt that was the exact offer, i'm guessing it was some combination of those players, not all.

I don't see Houston trading all 3 of their rookies in this deal, probably just 2.

God, I hope we keep Royce White and Parsons somehow.

Charler Parsons is an excellent #3? Really?

The dude was a 23 year old rookie last year and put up 9.5 points per game. Reminds me a lot of the year Landry Fields had actually. Solid coming out, but not much potential. Should be a bench player on most teams.

Dude you probably think Jimmer had a good season too...

Fields>Parsons
Lamb>Head

No way Bulls match Asik, and Knicks already matched for Lin

But I agree with CC, Parsons is a role player coming off the bench.

Stop equating PPG to player quality. Parsons is a great defender, solid rebounder, and a threat at the rim in the fast break. The guy can spot up, too, and if you don't defend the rim with him he's going to posterize you.

I'd take Parsons over Fields any day. Especially because he is younger.
