He didn't do <Censored> to me lol. I'm not a Kings fan.Sorry Shel, Kovy f'd you. I loved how just when we were hearing LA was getting close...BANG...New Jersey closes the deal.
Kovy is better off on the East Coast and the Kings are better off w/o investing a fat chunk of change.
Lemaire is gone and Kovalchuk is now the centerpiece of the franchise. Every move made from here on out will be a move that best suits Kovalchuk's style of play.I don't know why Kovy did this, his style of play isn't as successful with New Jersey's style of play. But with Lemaire gone, who knows, New Jersey might finally escape that boring defensive style of hockey.
More fake contractsHe was signed to a 17 year/100 mil contract, holy shiz.
He's not playing all of those seasonsMan that's too long though. He's 44 when the deal ends.
Same. They should really do something about them, but there isn't much they can do. At most they could review and grant the team the ability to sign a player to one but thats about all I see.Man I don't like any of these lucrative contracts no matter how much cap space it saves.
NVM I misreadDoesn't matter if they give him 99 mill year one, and 1m total over the next 16... In the NHL, the salary cap hit is measured by the average salary.
