No matter what happens with the rockets in the playoffs, it's going to be entertaining. Either they win the finals and mexi & bware gloat to end, leaving no prisoners, mainly CC, or they lose and CC passive aggressives mexi & bware to death, complete with a classic bware meltdown.

Haha I'm so passive aggressive with my Houston comments, you're right.

That meltdown will be awesome when it happens.

We all know Chandler Parsons will never win a ring.

Put in a waiver system where priority is worst to first, and you only pay them the minimum, with the previous team still paying the full contract?

I never really thought about how it would work.  I just think it's something that needs to change in the NBA.  Bought out players need to be placed in some sort of pool that would limit playoff teams (mainly the ones that already have some separation from the pack) from stacking their teams before the playoffs.  Maybe even place a deadline, say the deadline for bought out players to be added to a playoff roster is 24 hours following the deadline, and anyone who agrees to a buy out after that is ineligible to join a playoff roster.  Maybe do like the amnesty clause, and the players are put in a pool and the team who signs them has to pay the remaining salary they lost in the buy out.  Danny Granger has about 14M left on his contract, if he and Philly agree on a 10M buyout, then the team who claims him (like you said, worst to first) has to pay the remaining 4M.

I think there are ways to make it work.

I've always thought it was bullshit that a team like LA that is over the lux tax can go out and sign Glen Davis.  Maybe a team that is over the lux tax automatically waives the right to put anymore money towards their cap.  Or teams already over the cap lose the right to use their middle level exception, room exception, bi-annual exceptions, etc the next season.

Granger and Philly are close to agreeing on a buy out, but apparently there isn't much interest. One GM said they have zero interest and that he's done.

i read miami has more interest in butler than granger and miami could have the most interest; which is very little.

I've been saying that since the trade. Not sure why a contending team would want him.

If I were Granger, I'd try to sign with a team where I could get significant playing time. Try to get one last contract.

Excluding like the seven teams that are better than them, sure.

Heat, Pacers, and Thunder is 3 teams that are definitively better. LAC will get a chance to add themselves to that list, as well, with another matchup looming.

Are you suggesting the depleted, old Spurs? The overrated Dubs? The jump shooting Blazers with a coach who can't figure out their bench? The rising Raptors?

Name 7 and provide decent arguments, or drop it.
