Yeah I wish we could get more value than Khris Middleton for #3. He's also not really a scorer -- he's a shooter.

But if we were doing this deal, I'd really hope we'd add in 16+23 for 10 as well, and let us get Deyonta

Would make sense to me to get some proven talent for their picks in my opinion, simply because I think they're gonna have a big free agency and are gonna seriously enter win-now-mode soon. Not really based on anything and it might take them until next offseason to be contenders, but I just have that hunch.

I don't think it's gonna be this FA, but rather next offseason that Boston goes all-in. The FA class is stacked, and Boogie should finally be available since I'd be shocked if the Kings didn't trade him in his final year.

That said, I generally agree with the idea that we should move assets for talent. I just wish these talents were better than Middleton. I could see a swap of Bradley for Middleton being a good deal, since Milwaukee would love a defensive PG with Giannis at point forward, and Middleton is a comparable offensive player to Bradley in terms of what they do (Middleton is the better offensive player). And I do like his contract, which while high is basically $1-2M than what Evan Turner and Bazemore will get and he's cost controlled thru 2020.

It's the fact that the deal suggests 3 and a contract that makes me dislike it. I doubt that refers to the $1M salaries of Young, Hunter, or Rozier. It wouldn't make sense to trade Amir or Jerebko on our ends, because it doesn't save any cap whatsoever. It'd be between Olynyk and Avery Bradley as the only legitimate people left to think about because it won't be Smart. I'd be fine with it being Kelly but I'm not sure if Boston wants to lose another big man (low on depth at that position), and I also don't think Milwaukee necessarily wants him. To me, that contract screams Bradley, and him+3 is a massive overpay

Middleton is one of the most underrated players in the league signed to a great contract.

hes a good player but not someone that can create his own shot still

Not worth giving up Bradley and #3 for. I'd do one or the other, plus Kelly but otherwise nah

I've said it before, but I think you'd have to go to Utah and offer up a guy like Anthony Davis to pry Hayward from them. That guy probably means more to them off the court than on, and he means a lot to them on the court.

I'd take that for Buckets.
This draft isn't good enough to do that deal.

If okafor were in this draft he'd be a top 3 pick so I don't know why that isn't a fair trade. Like Mexi said Ainge just tries to fleece people and it rarely works

Lakers are taking Hield, though.  Ingram will be right there!

Okafor would definitely be the 3rd most talented player but I'm not sure he'd be the third pick

He showed some significant defensive limitation this past year, and I'm not sure you take someone who is that bad defensively 3rd. He might be better suited as a spark bench player in the long run.

When looking at the Celtics pick, everyone knows Jamal Murray is more talented than Jaylen Brown. But the Celtics are one of the few organizations that would rather find a player that fits what they do overall than just take the best player, which is why I believe Brown is higher on their board, and is why they didn't move the 3rd pick for Jah

Okafor is outdated

And bosox obviously your love for Brown is well documented, but I've been curious, does he scare you?

I think writing off a player's defensive ability at 19 years old is downright stupid

Apples to oranges comparison, but remember when everyone talked about how awful Kyrie is defensively?

Like you said, apples to oranges. Okafor could be a quality defender one day, but I could also be the President of the United States one day. Both are equally unlikely.

Someone with the lateral quickness and size that Kyrie has should be able to be a good defender. He isn't limited athletically like Okafor
