Bills land Rex Ryan as Marrone's replacement
Bills hired Rex Ryan as head coach.
It's a monster get for the Bills, who got a late start on their search after Doug Marrone opted out of his deal. They're now the first team to hire a new coach this offseason. Ryan wanted the Falcons job, but was never brought back for a second interview. Ryan held his second interview with Buffalo on Saturday night and inked a five-year, $27.5 million contract Sunday morning. He's expected to retain DC Jim Schwartz and bring aboard 49ers OC Greg Roman to run the offense. Roman helped develop Colin Kaepernick from a huge project into a starting-caliber quarterback. He'll now work with E.J. Manuel.
