With indictment Peterson will have to turn himself in and thus his status for this weekend is now unclear

Much more to come.

Don't think you would want that to happen.

Can't wait for all the debating next week on ESPN about weather or not you should spank your kids.

Well he's already been deactivated on the Vikings roster.

If what we've been told is true, Adrian Peterson deserves to be be suspended indefinitely. Not just by the NFL, but by the Vikings organization. As a society, it's our job to speak for those who can't speak for themselves. If I've heard the right number, and if we're being fed factual information, the child was four years old, at the time. Four. Beaten with a switch that left lacerations.
I have no issue with spanking, but nothing, nothing, absolutely nothing makes using an object OK. I don't care if you grew up fearing a switch, belt, yardstick--whatever it may be. It wasn't OK, then. It's not OK, now.
Here's to hoping the Vikings organization makes the right call.

Four.  Four years old.

I have a six year old nephew who is my best friend in the world.  If his dad ever did anything remotely close to this, I would put dad's head through a fucking curb.

This is so repulsive.  What a disgusting piece of shit Peterson is.

i have a hard enough time doing anything other than time out for my daughter, and my niece and nephew. spanking is fine but what he did was ruthless.
im still in awe that hed do this, seems out of character, he deserves to have the book thrown at him though.

Yeah this is pretty fucked up. Lost all my respect for AP.
What horrible judgement he has to think this was okay to begin with.

I find it weird how Peterson would even do this after losing a child to abuse. I don't have a problem with spanking but what Peterson did with a switch is just crossing the line. He should be suspended for the rest of the season as well as being released by the Vikings. The NFL needs to make an example that this crap is not okay.

Don't know if it's horribile judgment as much as it's just being a complete neanderthal. He got the switch when he was young, and since he can't figure out how to be a father, he thinks giving the switch is half of the battle. Just a total fucking idiot. The first step to being a good father is not having 7 children with 6 different women, although it's probably 5 by 6 for AP now since one got beaten to death by a drug dealer last year.

The actual incident happened before he lost that child, last year. Not that that justifies it, but figured I should clarify the timeline.
