Steven Wright threw two hitless, scoreless innings for Triple A Pawtucket tonight. One walk, one strikeout. His first game action since going on the DL with knee inflammation on June 23.

Sox are looking at some first pitches today, 9 of them have been balls so I suppose that's why. Of Urena's 81 pitches, 17 have been put in play and we have 6 hits on those 17 pitches. Good to see the guys playing well at the plate.

That's his 3rd blown save then? Out of 27 S+H opportunities. He's pitched better than his career numbers and has been trending up every year - but I'm not sure high leverage situations are where he needs to be used.

I just don't understand how you can justify giving term to Kimbrel. Dude's gonna get like 5 x $20M, but by 2021, it will be ugly. The guy has been elite one of three years in Boston and his walk numbers are awful.
 
Not to mention his qualitative factors. Dude can't get a four out save or come into the game with a high leverage to save his life.
