hes the president of the players union and was the one most invested in getting max contracts even higherCameronCrazy06 said:Didn't CP3 have a handshake agreement to a max extension this season?
they didn't want to give up two starters, as well as b2b first rounders (Jaylen+BKN pick) on an overachieving team built on its team unityFather Pugzo said:i might be but i also thought the celtics should have gone after jimmy harder than they did too.
i see both sides. its weird. i dont like to see teams continue to roll out the same team(much like the billups lead pistons), and i dont like to see teams cripple their future for a couple seasons of competing(possibly the celtics after the jimmy trade).bosoxlover12 said:they didn't want to give up two starters, as well as b2b first rounders (Jaylen+BKN pick) on an overachieving team built on its team unity
they might work out a deal in the offseason for butler, but it made no sense to do it midyear. if boston doesn't land #1, i wouldn't be shocked to see the Celtics move the pick along with jae and jaylen for Butler
i'm goddamn conflicted on what to do with AB tho. he's a great role player, but next year is his final year on his contract. if he's not part of the long term, you trade him this offseason -- but should he not be part of the long term??
If you're going to pay that much money for a guy who's presumably off the bench in the future, surebosoxlover12 said:they didn't want to give up two starters, as well as b2b first rounders (Jaylen+BKN pick) on an overachieving team built on its team unity

how many years in a row has blake been injured?bosoxlover12 said:the clippers are in an interesting spot, similar to okc, that they've peaked and can't feasibly improve (and can actually expect regression due to not being able to afford their FAs leaving)
does blake griffin leave this offseason for a more desiriable destination, or does he take the financial security and stay? same goes for westbrook a year later
