You look way too deep into it man, 2% off here and there for catch and shoots oh my oh my

Butler is someone who can somewhat check lebron, thats what u should be focusing on

Levron is Pgs daddy, PG has lost all the confidence when he goes against lebron

Sometimes take your stat goggles off and think whats really important

You can pull up these regular season stats, the 6 months no one even cares about, but playoff basketball is a different animal. Shots dont fall, %'s go down for everyone, teams score less and so on

Realize whats really important

Not to mention butler is a boston type, grit and grind type of guy. PG is a soft LA kid with no mental toughness

id rather have pg. and if im the Cs. im doing whatever i can to get gordon there and keeping the rest of the main core together. i think that team would work better as a superstar unit ala 04 pistons, than adding an elite player -- unless they get pg cheap.

i go for it either way. injuries happen. bad calls happen. luck happens. go for it while you can. that team can and will compete.

because those are the important categories lol

• How they are off ball as a shooter
• How they shoot pull up jumpers
• How they are in isolation
• How they are running the P&R as a scorer
• How often and efficient they score
• How they defend shots

Like all those plus/minus stats are incredibly flawed. Like you don't think Avery Bradley's +/- is flawed because the Celtics allow a ton of points when IT is on the floor, and don't score a lot when Smart is on? Its affected by so much that doesn't have any impact on the player himself
Quit trying to devalue stats because you don't like the story they tell about one fucking player.  All advanced stats in basketball are the exact same as they are in baseball; you can learn from them but you really shouldn't become overly reliant on them. Once again, nobody is going to argue that Butler is a better shooter than George. Posting six stats, five of which have to do with shooting the basketball, as your reasoning for why George had a better year is an absurd cherry-pick.

And for the record, I'd take George in the long run, for both the Celtics and in general, with the hopes that he still has untapped potential.

The Jazz are a better team than the Celtics right now. There's always the argument that the West is tougher, but the West also doesn't have LeBron, and probably never will. What happens first, the Warriors breaking up or LeBron regressing? I wouldn't count on the second one for a while.

But are the Jazz better than the Celtics if they don't have Gordon Hayward? I think Utah was hella underrated this year, but you aren't trying to tell me that Hill/Hood/Ingles/Favors/Gobert is better than the current Celtics, are you?

Draft Markelle, trade IT Horford Bradley and the rest and focus on the future after Lebron/Warriors

Too scared to make moves to compete, then sit down

Ainge is a pussy, n his assets suck. All his 20+ drafted players havent made one all star team some are out the league, this nets trade is whats saving his ass

This team will never be bad but will never be a contender if Ainge doesnt find his balls

i was just saying early this year or last that lebron will break down sooner than most would like to admit so there is that.

that doesnt make money and that doesnt help draw names to the team. have to go all out now imo. just have to be smart and keep what youth you can. it is possible to build now and for the future

Lets be real here though

with Brooklyn giving us their pick next year, there is zero need to tank next season by "trading away thomas, horford, and bradley". ainge is playing this perfectly -- he's building a winning team without mortgaging the future away. he's gonna have jaylen, markelle, and another top 5 pick all while competing for the playoffs. you really cannot ask for much more

Oh, Im not for it, been sayibg all season they need to go all in and go for the ship

But if hes gonna play these games and not get better to contend, then might as well throw in a towel and trade IT Horford Bradley n the rest for some future picks/young talent, while these guys still have some value and not completely over the hill
