Should have gotten these capable, professional players when a certain guy was still around.

is this through your pels facebook friend? because i havent seen reports of that on my end

but as much as i love smart, we need to cut salary to max hayward, and among bradley, smart, and crowder -- two are expiring and one is clearly a step below

if yall get marcus i'll be sad, but ill watch more pels games then too. and you'll love potentially the best defensive team in the league

Potentially one of the least meaningful trades in recent memory

You mean the trade that would put the Celtics at the top of the league?

I don't have a Pels Facebook friend lol. But regardless, it's probably nothing. Something like 98% of deals discussed in this league are never agreed upon. But interesting nonetheless. Would you say he's a good ball mover? I know their goal this offseason was to get guys who could defend on the perimeter, defend multiple positions, shoot the ball, and move the ball. Obviously he fits 2/4.

They've talked to Phoenix about Bledsoe and Brooklyn about Lin as well. Bledsoe is their #1 target.

didnt you have a guy last year who said something about like avery bradley for #6 and tyreke evans? i thought you were referring to that dude

anyways, literally marcus smart would be an all star if he could shoot the ball. He's a very good passer and runs the P&R fantastically. It would finally allow Jrue to play off-ball, where he's better. The real problem with Smart is that he can't shoot, and at times he has the mentality that he's Kobe and just keeps on shooting. but he def fits 3/4 of those qualities

But knowing that the cost is probably Quinn, Toupane, and a future pick, it'd be a great deal for the Pels

It's the same guy. He writes for the Pels ESPN page. He's legit. He called every aspect of the Jrue deal. Only thing he was off on was he signed for 5 years at 25M, he said it would be 5 years 27M. He called Jrue not signing that night as he had to "sleep on it." Pels elected not to give his brother a deal so he was undecided. He called the Pels passing on Murray last year if Buddy was still available before the draft last year. He said they were trying to trade up for Diallo 30 minutes before it happened. He called them drafting a "project" this year, they drafted a 19 year old. As well as a few free agent signings. I remember two years ago he reported on Perkins signing two days before it was actually announced.
