I don't think they want Spo to stop coaching. They might be grooming Battier into being his successor alreadyMexi said:is spo the heir apparent or will they hire a full time guy
Ya kind of dumb. KD taking a pay cut helps the owners more than anybody. What a guyMexi said:Helping a billionaire owner save lux tax
Whats the point of luxury tax and salary caps
Nowhere close to the same IMO. Hard cap vs. soft cap makes all the difference, the NBA cap is more of a guideline.bosoxlover12 said:I so disagree
I respect KD even more for taking that discount. It's Brady-esque -- taking less so the team can win more
Kind of, not really. It went up like $20 million so teams signed guys like Mozgov, Turner, etc to large $$ contracts. Now so many teams are strapped for cash.GMF1991 said:Because the cap raising worked the first time.
Also, how would getting rid of max salaries fix it?
Teams would have to be smarter with their cap space. Players are getting the max simply based off of potential at this point. If a guy like Damian Lillard got paid his value, you wouldn't have guys like Evan Turner on the team with $70 million contracts. The stars get more, but the role players, bench guys would get less so it will never happen. The max salary is just dumb though, no other sport has it for a reasonBig Poppa said:Yea how will getting rid of max deals cut down on overpaid guys?
The cap is still the same
Yeah that's because hockey actually takes a team to win. You can't have 20+% locked up into one player unless he is the 2nd coming of GretzkyBNC said:NHL has max salaries, no one ever gets them though
