maybe boston is planning on running their team in a sense similar to how nickel defense is the new base defense in football

crowder and hayward both start at forward, always being small. crowder plays the more PF position but still acts as a SF. 2nd unit is the same, with Jaylen subbing for Hayward and Tatum for Crowder. ignore playing two bigs on the floor, and just always play small ball

but i do think we'll target blake over hayward because of the amount of wings

oh it's definitely very small

i just don't think brad cares about rebounding all that much, and thinks that the floor spacing will force he opposition to play small too if we're hitting our shots

that's why i likened it to the nfl. teams are passing with 3 WRs on the field, so they go from a 3-4/4-3 to a 4-2-5 nickel defense to combat the opposition because a base defense is too slow

if Boston has 3 shooters spread out, and run the Horford high P&R it will force the bigs to leave the shooter open or have isaiah the free reign at the hoop. it's all just about guys like crowder and jaylen and tatum hitting open threes to make it work
