This hasnt been his best stint, im not arguing that, but doesnt help when the face of the franchise is absolute garbage and wont get his ass out of there
What are you talking about? Phil is awful. Gave Melo a NTC, hgae Noah a ridiculous contract, brought in Rose, hired a coach with no coaching experience in Fisher, refuses to ditch the triangle, and then proceeded to bash Melo all season.

It's a shame that championships aren't decided by the Finals anymore. Or any game. They're decided by who can build the most unfair ridiculous team in the offseason.

The Bulls don't get any better by adding Irving, and they probably wouldn't be terrible enough to properly initiate a rebuild.

The only way that makes sense for Chicago is if they then flip Kyrie for more assets.

And yeah put me in the camp that thinks trading Kyrie for Butler doesn't help Cleveland at all

Cleveland should get Brian Scalabrine to unretire. But they're not worthy of that.

Kyrie has consistently been able to get his against Golden State, it would be so ill-asvised to dump him. Not to mention, he's the guy we can build around if LeBron leaves, or just starts to decline

well, not necessarily the opposite, but that Griffin viewed Kyrie as untouchable.

They'd definitely be better on defense tho
Are they though?

In 2K they'd be better on defense, but you have to think of both ends of the floor. Lebron can play the point on offense, but he can NOT play point guard defensively at this point. And Butler cannot really either -- maybe in spurts occasionally but not 98 times a year. And you'd be a fool to not be hiding JR Smith on defense

You trade Kyrie for Butler, and now you have to start someone to be the point guard defender. On the current roster, that's either Shumpert or Felder...

Cavs will be better with Butler if they move Love, not Kyrie

I mean, Kyrie can't defend anybody... Having two good perimeter defenders is better than one.

I'd trade Jimmy Butler just to get Payne off the team.

I'd even throw in a few firsts.

Is Kris Dunn a lost cause?

Dunn + Lavine + 7 for Butler + 16

Take Monk at 7

IDK if the pick swap is necessary
