Sign Hayward and get Butler and you have a pretty good damn chance, especially long term... Lebrons not a young buck anymore

Saying its an automatic title tho is quite a reach at this point without knowing what the rest of the roster would look like, but yea whatever
That's not a team that comes close to beating GS so what's the point?

This hasnt been his best stint, im not arguing that, but doesnt help when the face of the franchise is absolute garbage and wont get his ass out of there
He's awful at his job and that has nothing to do with how good or bad Melo is

Trading Kyrie for Butler makes no sense for either side.
Makes the Cavs better, gives them someone who can defend Klay, Steph of KD and can actually run an offense. Bulls could flip Kyrie for some pretty nice picks

Melo isn't even bad though, and it's not his fault he's there. He wants to play in NYK, if Phil wanted to move him he shouldn't have given him a NTC

3 guys who need the ball in their hands to make something happen will all of a sudden become amazing off the ball huh?

Youre clueless. If you didnt watch the finals, all cavs did was run isos with lebron and kyrie

Nothing will change if they add jimmy and PG lol stop living in a dream

He gave him the NTC when melo signed the damn contract however many years ago

Wasnt something done a week ago lol

And melo is pretty damn awful for an "all star" or a "franchise player" lets get real

Yes because the Cavs problems in the finals were their inability to score and not their inability to defend the Warriors despite scoring over 113 in 4 of the 5 games

He gave him a NTC when he had no reason to, doesn't matter when it was signed.

And Melo should just waive his NTC and go play somewhere else where he's not gonna win a ring and won't enjoy his life as much? What the fuck for?

Exactly. And having those 3 guys who stand around until they get the ball in their hands wont do any good offensively.

Defensively, im with you...warriors would have more problems because of those 3 guys and their defensive versatility

Idk man, i mean on paper it sounds good but idk

Hasnt seemed very happy in new york the last year....

Lets be honest tho, no one even wants him at this point so we are arguing for no reason about this ntc

Before u say gilbert wants him for k love, yea , would be the dumbest trade in recent history

K love on the cavs > melo on the cavs

With LeBron running the point they would be able to figure it out on offense. They need to have guys that can defend the Warriors if they're gonna compete, we already know the current roster isn't good enough so why just run it back again?

Melo isn't helping anyone win a title and has no reason to waive his NTC

They would not figure it out quickly, or it would take a year or so and thats another wasted year for lebron

And its good enough if they add a few little pieces. We saw the blueprint of games 3-5, and cavs played good. What happened in the first two games wont happen again bc now theyll be familiar with this juggernaut of a team and the next series theyll play, itll be exactly like games 3-5, and those were pretty damn close games u cant disagree

Add a point who could run the offense while lebrons out, get a better bench, and a rim protector and we got ourselves a series. Also experience for those guys on the cavs after the first time playing this second all time greatest team will also help, theyll come in next year with alot more confidence and will play up to their standards

Dont think they need to blow it up, they just need small tweaks

Edit: and the first tweak would be....fire Tyronne Lue.

Yes because the Cavs have all this cap space and draft picks that will allow them to add several new players.

They have no ways of getting better than through trade, games 3-5 are nice but it ignores that games 1 and 2 even happened. Cavs can compete at home, but they have no shot in Oracle
