Honestly, I'm ashamed Rick Porcello won the Cy Young award last year.  You couldn't get a more mediocre and shoddy pitcher to win such an award.  Even if he had a low ERA last year, he didn't have many strokes of brilliance like past Cy Young award pitchers.  I rarely see him go a game without giving up 10 hits.  And I'll be honest here.  He may not be awful, but he's just not really good either.  Rick Porcello is mediocrity at its best, and he scalped Verlander last year for the Cy Young award.  The people who voted Porcello in should be fired.

He's not the worst though.  And I don't think he's that bad.  But the regression was obvious.  He's not as much accountable for our bad offense as other guys are.

Vazquez is easily hitting over his head like Leon last year.

The main problem is we haven't utilized Swihart.

Personally, I can't stand Porcello.

But let's let the Orioles hit their 30 to 40 homeruns because that's all they got.  After that, the team runs out of gas.  Their offense is completely one dimensional, though I'll admit it's worked in past years until the postseason.  That's where they've come up empty.
Them coming up empty isn't solely due to bats though. They refuse to spend on starting pitching And it's infuriating

The opposite can happen too. Overpay for pitchers like Porcello who can't deliver.

In all honesty, Orioles have been playing better than the Red Sux.

Cubs could use a corner OF too. Hopefully they trade him outside of the AL, I don't wanna have to face him on a regular basis.

Hopefully the Cubs can add Archer. All of a sudden the great free agency pitching calls of 2017 doesn't look so great anymore

I don't see the Cubs trading for JD. They already have a log jam in the OF. Schwarber will be fine. Sure JD would be a great add but they need to use their assets to acquire long term starting pitching, not an OF.

Also those Bryce Harper wanting to play for the Cubs rumors were going around Minnesota when I worked there in college back in 2014/2015 before they even won so they are legit. Obviously the money will be very tough to pull off though with the rest of the squad looking being so young.
