I dont really care for that, we all grew up watching from early 2000s

And dont yall dare tell me the game was this soft back then. Fuck all this spacing and 3 point shooting

They're bums because they realized to take more efficient shots?

Westbrook's career 31.1% 3PT shooting percentage is equal to a 2pt shot made at 46.6%. Kobe made 2pt shots 47.9%, equating to a 31.9% 3PT shooter

With there being 99 guys in the league shooting 39%+ from 3 while playing 40+ games and min 3 3PA per game, its equivalent to hitting 2s shots at a 58.5% clip (a bit better than kareem numbers)

its simple math
Math is for Bums you NERD!!

Seriously, don’t waste time trying to explain the numbers

I grew up watching in the 80s and 90s. The 90s era is by far my favorite so far. Its hard to compare different eras but LeBron has clearly had the easier road than MJ. The East as a whole has been completely irrelevant the last 2 decades save one or two teams.

Agreed. The way the game is officiated has changed a lot too. How much of that is the reason for some of the stars of today though?

you played zero organized basketball growing up

You look at it as simple 3>2

Its not even about Lebron or the easier road or whatever

Obviously thats the reason why hes had so much success, plus all the spacing and no legit two 7 footers in the lane at all times

But this basketball is just a 3 point shootout. So many guys who are good today wouldnt be good in the old era because this isnt how basketball that was taught to us should be played. I get its the new 3 point era, and thats what the young kids are learning today, but its so god damn soft its laughable

While i would agree that it was still weaker than the West, i would say it was a lot more talented from top to bottom than it has been post 2000. with the Pistons in the early part of the decade. The Heat were a solid team with Lonzo. The Magic had Shaq for a while. Reggie had some good teams. It was a lot better than it has been recently.

Nothing will irk me more than a 3 on 2 transition and a dude taking a god damn 3

What were we taught? ALWAYS go in for an easy guaranteed lay up on fastbreak 3 on 2 or 2 on 1 or whatever

these dudes out here taking 3s in transition when they have numbers

So annoying
