Denver was giving fultz so much space lol. Like he's dwight at the 3p line

And he didn't shoot. He passed. So still tentative with his jumper. But he has a few layups

Tatum's still at the point where he shows flashes of potential stardom, especially in this month, but its flashes and he cannot consistently carry his play throughout the game. He's got a wicked good pull up midrange jumper for a 20 year old rookie, and has very crafty finishes as well. But he's not that good under pressure yet, and will be a little too careless with the ball (like getting trapped in the corner yesterday and throwing the ball out of bounds) at times. He's the type of kid that you can definitely see being a 20ppg scorer when he gets the game down with age.

Jaylen's the Mental guy. He'll definitely at times overthink situations and get in his own head like when he did against the Cavs when he scored just 5pts this February. But he can also lock into the game and drop 25pts on Lebron in the season opener after the rest of the team checked out due to Gordon. I mean it was an exhibition game, but Jaylen was the only one on Team USA during the Rookie/Sophomore game that wasn't ass, and he put up 35pts. He's a mean dunker that at times shows no fear at all.

But its Jaylen's defense that puts him ahead of Tatum imo. He is currently 3rd in the NBA in Defensive Rating, only behind the DPOY candidates Embiid and Gobert, and he's tied for the best DFG% in the NBA among those qualified. He has a legitimate chance for making the All-Defensive teams this season, and that's in his second year in the league with an added focus on offense this season. I'd go out and say that once Hayward is playing and Tatum's confidence goes up, Jaylen's defense will only get better. And like Mexi said, he really could be a Paul George guy (numbers say he's already on that path) as a guy you'd love to be a 3rd option scorer and lockdown defender.

Tatum will be a stud too, but idk Jaylen's my guy. And yeah ik, nobody outside of maybe paulie is going to read this lol
Couple things

1. Yea PG is a good comparison for Jaylen. Not Kawhi but PG ceiling is good for him

2. You just blasted me for using defensive rating the other week. But although hes a good defender for sure, it obviously helps being in Brads system tho

3. Lets not forget this is Tatums rookie year tho

Or maybe they package the Cavs pick and/or Hart with Deng
Spurs wouldnt take dengs contract for addition of cavs pick and hart

Cap space is tight this summer tho

Dont think theres a team that would just take deng for Hart and Cavs pick

Not gonna sit here and lie that i love Russ’ shot selection at times but ride or die regardless

Theres games where he plays extremely smart and makes great decisions and its beautiful to watch

And then theres some games where im shaking my head at his shot selections

If he didnt try to Kobe so much, his efficiency would be a lot better but everyones got flaws so it is what it is

Hes got heart tho, never quits or disappears and is clutch so its all good in my books

Think the problem is the amount of money these players are getting paid these days

Being so cautious so they dont miss out on the big payday

Wheres the love for the game man

If you can walk, you can play

I love Kawhi but i always say it how i see it and in this case, he’s being soft af. Hate to say it but its the truth

Fucking come back already and help the damn Spurs

The rose situation was crazy looking back

He was medically cleared

Dunking pregame

Deng almost died he and was playing though they pain like a warrior

Joakim was playing hurt too

Not even saying rose did the wrong thing. He's playing today and the others are half retired. But they did get big money unlike rose

I didn't think Rosier was a real person.

SI spoke him into existence. Like Bazemore.

Rose got the big money

He signed that big contract(big back then) and got hurt that first year of the contract iirc

Was getting 20+ a year plus that huge adidas contract he had

He’s got his money but yea that situation was very similar

Bulls were fighting all season like Spurs this season and everyone was waiting for Rose to be back and help and he kept putting it off like Kawhi is now

On my old sim site, we simmed Reggie Williams into existence. He was a beast in our league, then got drafted in the 2nd round, and was decent for a couple of years with the Warriors irl
