Same with Toronto. Yes they have Kyle and demar but they also have OG, vanvleet, poetl, siakim. Young guys who have grown
I know ill get shit from rios and snipe probably, because im probably the biggest raptors dissenter on this board, but you're really overvaluing that bench imo

poetl, siakam, anunoby... they're rotational bench pieces that aren't that big of difference makers. like you talk so much about OG being some huge difference maker, but he's scored more than 11pts only four times this season. he's replaceable.

the guy that keeps the raptors second unit going is vanvleet, and that guy i'll give respect for. he was a baller at witchita st and he's doing a great job as the backup point to lowry.

i personally still think the celtics are better than toronto is, but this is definitely the best raptors team they've had in a while. i never respected them as competition until this season

Kyrie in the finals would be cool but he’s young he’ll have so many more shots at it. Plus fuck Boston

Raptors window isnt big and JV making the finals/winning it would be historic to me and my people

The Raps are a nice story but I'm taking the teams that have LeBron James and Kyrie Irving over them 100 times out of 100.

Mentions "rotational bench pieces that aren't difference makers", yet is a big Marcus Smart fan

marcus smart literally is a difference maker though. he's very likely to make an all-defensive team this season, and he scores a good bit more than anunoby does. plus rozier and morris are the bigger bench pieces for us in terms of scoring the ball; smart's just the defensive anchor of the team

I agree with thst

With a team that has a lot of offensive fire power, smart could be a starter as the glue guy

i mean he's essentially roberson but a more involved passer and a worse finisher

Exactly

People dont appreciate those kind of guys because all they do is look at box scores

You need guys like Roberson and Smart

Speaking of okc, they could really use smart in that backcourt haha
