Id be willing to admit that Im pretty impressed with the raptors lately. But we all gotta admit, it would be REALLY funny if they do the same shit in the playoffs again this year.
Agreed, but the goal is to be better than the Warriors. They would need to rebuild to get thereBNC said:That team would still be a 3-4 seed, not rebuilding at all
then you don't match clintCoach said:Agreed, but the goal is to be better than the Warriors. They would need to rebuild to get there

yea but thats completely different. if you dont keep cp3(then just assume lebron isnt signing there), then you decide to rebuild, you dont keep clintCoach said:
That depends on timing though, right? They could sign LeBron first (for example) and then match on Capela afterwards and go over the cap, right? They would pay that luxury tax, but could still technically do it.

Everything you’re saying is completely fine. But just because they’ve played spectacular for 3/4 of the season, you cant blame people for bringing up their past and talking about harden/cp3/dantoni shitting the bed in the playoffs because they have done that many times before, you know. All you can do is wait and have them prove people like me wrong. And i will continue to sing the same song until they prove me wrong, which shouldnt upset you. What i say about their past is straight facts. Id understand your point if i was making shit up, and saying they’ll choke when they have never choked before but they have, so until they prove people wrong, the disappearing/choke narrative will stay aroundCoach said:BP, i hear your point, and I do accept it. You cant deny it. I just believe that after watching this team for 3/4 of the season, maybe this is something bigger than their past. MDA's teams never played defense, yet this one has been hovering around the top 10 in defensive efficiency all season. With their big 3 on the court, this team has lost 1 game all year long (I'm pretty sure that's still the case). Harden's disaster in Game 6 last year was of exhaustion and him giving up. He hasnt had to work nearly as hard this year and has a guy who can help carry the weight at his level for the first time. You can say the same for CP3. They have each never played with someone as good as the other (Dont @ me about Harden with OKC, Harden's true career began when he got his own team).
There are some pretty solid reasons to believe that this Rockets team is a legit contender. I am a firm believer in the fact that the Warriors are the best until somebody beats them. I won't believe otherwise until I see it, but this Rockets team has a legit chance. Especially if they hold on to this #1 seed.
I truly doubt cp3 leaves. If he does tho, i dont see Lebron wanting to join. Cp3 would be the guy that could bring Lebron in.Coach said:Worst case is CP3 leaves for another team and Rockets are back in rebuild mode. The Rox match any offers Capela gets. Then they go hard core after LeBron to no avail.
Lmao i feel the same 100%. I do want the Raptors to not shit the bed tho because JV is on that team and him making the finals would be awesome for my countryCameronCrazy06 said:Id be willing to admit that Im pretty impressed with the raptors lately. Im gonna try to find a post i saw on reddit. One of the best posts ive seen explaining everything how its basically not possible to get Bron and then Capela back. Even getting Bron without Capela would be tough.Coach said:

I feel like we wants this to happen, but if it did happen and the finals sucked then we’d all be saying how much better it would have been if it was warriors vs cavs hahaFather Pugzo said:how awesome would it be to see the celtics or raptors and rockets in the finals?
yes. they'd have to clear cap another waybuzzy said:I don't know the numbers but it's because you have to renounce a player's bird rights to get rid of his cap hold, i.e. being able to sign LeBron, hence you cannot go over the cap to re-sign Capela
im all for parity. i know the celtics are the celtics but this team is 150% different from the last time they won so its OK, and they have the story with kyrie.Big Poppa said:I feel like we wants this to happen, but if it did happen and the finals sucked then wed all be saying how much better it would have been if it was warriors vs cavs haha
Oh im all for King Kyrie beating Bron. Thatd be litFather Pugzo said:im all for parity. i know the celtics are the celtics but this team is 150% different from the last time they won so its OK, and they have the story with kyrie.
Good stuff BP. However, if there is anyone in the league who can make it happen, its Morey. That guy is magical.Big Poppa said:https://www.reddit.com/r/nba/comments/7vfpvx/why_lebron_isnt_headed_to_houston/?st=JEEU4U52&sh=b05f6f3dhttps://www.reddit.com/r/nba/comments/7vfpvx/why_lebron_isnt_headed_to_houston/?st=JEEU4U52&sh=b05f6f3d
